About Us

Bambeck & Vest was established in 1964 and began as a carpenter to customer business. Andrew Bambeck and William Vest, our founders, created everlasting relationships based on a few simple principles: Quality, Trust and History. After Andy’s unexpected death in the 1990’s, his daughter, Dianne Bambeck, took the reins of the company and modernized its practices that are still in place today. She not only fostered Andy’s deep customer relationships but also created a company culture that provides its employees with solid benefits and opportunities for advancement, while at the same time modernizing company work practices. After 50 years of service to her beloved company, she retired at the end of 2025. The Company is now co-owned by Matthew Rothmund, David Dooley and Nicole Benintendi.

Quality
Bambeck & Vest self-performs all on-site supervision and carpentry in house. At Bambeck, we believe that having our employees on the job site from day one until occupancy allows maximum control of the job. We believe that quality can only be achieved through close eyes on all jobsite personnel. Our eyes and ears instill integrity and remove any temptation to cut corners. Every Bambeck project manager comes with over a decade of field experience. They know what it takes to achieve the highest standards required for each and every project. Our project managers speak with truthful construction knowledge that can only be learned through the grit of the jobsite.

Trust

For over 60 years, Bambeck & Vest has lived by our customers. We believe every customer is a long-term partner, whether it is a one-off routine job or a complex long-term project. Our repeat customers can attest to our honor. We never hide the facts, especially when delivering a competitive bid. Far too often, customers have suffered from cozy words and feel-good slogans at the start of the job, only to be presented a stack of change orders at the end of the job. Bambeck & Vest will always present to our customer on proposal day every fact and issue of the project we can uncover upfront. We pride ourselves on delivering extremely detailed proposals, steering away from bottom-dollar proposals designed to attract customers because of the price. Bambeck & Vest provides in detail and item by item what our customers will receive, reflecting what we believe to be the true cost of the project. Proposals often contain additional items/costs we can foresee and that are not contained in the bid package. Our long-lasting generational history is founded in repeat business because of our integrity and truthfulness.

History
Bambeck & Vest’s pride rests in all the work it has done in the rich historical properties of downtown Cincinnati. We believe that understanding and preserving the building practices of the past allows us to better understand and adapt to future changes in the industry. Skill sets are passed down from generation to generation, which helps maintain the ever-shrinking trades, and positions us for future work. Our project team has invaluable experience in most of the downtown historical buildings (Dixie Terminal, Carew Tower, The Mercantile Building, Cincinnati Enquirer, and Central Trust Tower). We are proud to have spent the past few decades modernizing the Dixie Terminal buildings, even adding an additional floor to Dixie South. Bambeck has pride in all the work we have done in these buildings over the decades.
